Okay, okay, I'm sure half the world has already seen all of these videos, but in light that ROC passes went on sell today and I'll be heading back to BYU (and BYU sporting events) in like three weeks (!!!!!) I have decided to share these uplifting Divine Comedy Music Videos:
Fail:
Good:
and last of all (of those I wanted to post...) Cougars:
I may or may not be completely and utterly excited to return to Provo.
Okay you got me. I am BEYOND excited. At this point on instagram I would use #hashtags... and if I did it would look like this:
But only sometimes.
Like for instance yesterday at the BYU game.
Now I am not someone who "boos" at Refs (come on guys that's like elementary school and I don't think I did it then either,) I don't complain about the players--everyone makes mistakes, everybody has those days, everybody knows what I'm talking about, everyone gets that way. But seriously! Mistakes happen, nobody's perfect. And I certainly do not criticize the coaches, I would never be able to do a better job then them and I don't think you could either (man who is yelling at Bronco up a few rows.)
Okay, and obviously I'm not the perfect fan either but the reason I go to games is to support my team, to cheer them on, and yell as loud as I can on 3rd Down Stops.
The first line of the Fight Song is "Oh, Rise all LOYAL Cougars..." Loyal. Not fickle, not fair-weather fans, LOYAL. And so I think there should be no name calling or yelling at the coaches or being the girl in front of us clapping for MT's Field Goal and then saying to her sister 'We're just going to lose anyway." NO!
Anyway, story.
A few rows in front of us were some men either in their late 20's or early 30's who were being kind of silly at the beginning of the game but then got kind of mean later. One of them had red hair and was being exceptional rude and it was getting on my nerves. At one point he yelled "Coach! Put in Hoffman!" Then I yelled to him "Hoffman suspended himself!" (of course I'm sad about that but I had to inform this guy right?) Then I was shocked, I never yell at other fans, never. Scary!
Later in the game he was being ridiculous again and I was about to yell, "Hey! Carrots! (as in from Anne of Green Gables expect not at all like what Gilbert was trying to do) Sit down!" But I used all my inner strength to not say it, although it would've been good.
So moral of this post is, don't be a fair-weathered fan be loyal. And even when people are being awful just try to hold your tongue.
Once you get your Mission Call it is marvelous.
Like really.
But it is also so hard.
Really, really, hard.
You are supposed to do homework,
because next week is the last week before the term is over?
Not going to happen.
You should probably go buy some groceries?
Nope!
You're little sister is turning 16 on Sunday and you should get her a gift?
Ummm maybe. (cept I already spent like $60 shopping for her the other day...)
Get the point?
All I want to think about is Mexico and nothing but Mexico.
I mean look at it:
So guess who's going on a Mission?
THIS GIRL!!!!!!
So I guess this will be turning into a Pre-Me Blog soon.
This is the video of me opening it:
And in case you'd rather not watch it...
I have been called to serve as a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I have been assigned to labor in the mexico, Villahermosa Mission.
I will report on November 13th, 2013 to the Provo Missionary Center
and I will be speaking Spanish. (good thing i took 4 years of German... oh wait...)
I am so excited to go out and serve the Lord and God's children. I know that this is what I am supposed to do. I can't wait(:
Well my career at Pleasant Grove High School is...over.
It's kind of a scary thought just having the comfort of a thing that can't change much was a wonderful part about high school. Now everything is changing, people are saying their "goodbyes" everywhere I turn and I just can't handle it anymore! I mean, some of the kids I graduated with on Thursday went to public school with me since the 2nd grade, and now we are all going our separate ways. Crazy.
One of my best friends is leaving on his Mission THIS WEDNESDAY. I can't fully comprehend it.
Yet, I am excited. I get to go out into the world and meet new people and make new dreams, and still I can hold fast to those who mean dearly to me. I will not say "goodbye" to the friends who mean the most to me, I won't allow myself to, I have a feeling that if I try we can remain friends for a really long time(:
6 days, only six!!!
Choir Tour is less than a week away and I am dying from waiting.
Oh how much I need to be in Disneyland and just have some simply
splendid moments like:
Seeing the Daper Dans sing
Going to Fantasmic
Spending non-stop days with my closest friends
Seeing World of Color
Rocking the Music in the Parks Festival again (hopefully)
Just feeling like a little kid and feeling though anything is possible.
Having something absolutely magical happen.
I need some childhood magic in my life. I'm craving it.
how can you say this place isn't magical? it totally is(:
it all started yesterday.
I received a text from a girl in my ward asking me to take her place to perform at a stake dance.
Not wanting to I asked that she try a few others and if no one else could I would.
Well I thought it was over but, this afternoon I was called by the Stake so I was stuck.
I went through my day and had a good time at BYU looking at housing, got back to find out
my best friend and I probably won't be rooming together (tear)
Tonight, I headed over to a friend's house to hang out before I was supposed to go to the Stake Dance.
While in the middle of making Muddie Buddies one friend dropped a glass bowl in which it broke and a projectile flew towards a vein in my hand. Woot. Now I am only typing with one hand,
It has been quite eventful 24 hours.
would be a Mission, in case you don't know me that well.
I know that I post about this like every other time but I really can't help it.
It is the thing that I want sooo much to do.
I really like anything to do with newly called Sister Missionaries (strange huh?) so I'm posting this
I have been spending most of my day working on homework, playing music, and watching Mission Call openings from Facebook. They make me so happy!
also, craziness. I was talking to one of the young men I associate myself with most everyday and we were discussing the topics of Missions and he can put his paper in this month!!! So can pretty much all of the boys I hang out with. I'm so glad I have such wonderful friends who are ready and willing to serve.
Today's 106.5 is no more now it's "Rock 106.5"
AHHHHHH!!!!!!
Part of me died. How am I supposed to enjoy Christmas music after Halloween now?
How am I supposed to listen to TWO radio stations while driving on Sunday's. Most importantly how am I supposed to listen to Show Tunes Saturday Night?!?!?!
That was my favorite thing about driving on Saturdays!!!!
waiting, waiting, waiting, I hate it so much waiting, waiting, waiting waiting, waiting, waiting It is driving me mad. waiting, waiting, waiting,
waiting, waiting, Just til tomorrow, I can wait. I think. waiting, waiting
waiting, waiting, The butterflies are eating me up.waiting, waiting waiting, waiting waiting, waiting. waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting.
(as you can tell, I am very impatient at the moment.)
Who are my parents for giving me such amazing of a life?
We've had no family problems, no major losses, what is this?
And hey, what about me?
I've never broken a bone, never once have I had some horrible phase in my life of discovering who I am, and I haven't had any near death experiences!
How on Earth am I supposed to get into any colleges with my life?!?
(Note: I am truly grateful for my life and everything I have been blessed with and I wouldn't trade it for anything. But if any of you remember anything from my youth (♪ or childhood ♪) that would be helpful in this situation please remind me :] )

Let's talk stress...
Not the biggest fan of it...
Where is this stress coming from?
The terrible disease of (pause for suspense)
Oldness!
(pretty sure it counts as a disease)
being old, growing up, what ever you'd like to call it, scares me.
a lot.
how do you turn this:
to this:
funny thing is I've been so excited for it my whole life and all of the sudden,
(let's say Saturday during the ACT,)
it hit me that I'm old.
Maybe not like OLD
But I'm going to be applying for college in a few months!
Well, try as I might, I couldn't shake this stress.
I slept on it, and at church I realized I'm the oldest in my Sunday School Class now!
Yikes!
It kind of slipped for a few days until my dad showed me this:
You're probably thinking: so what? It's a guy climbing up a building!
This was filmed at USU one of my 3 main choices for college.
Seeing this just made me think more of that stress.
So I need some MAJOR input here.
BYU, home of the Cougars, has been my choice school my whole life.
Both my parents went there, both my older sisters go there, and I've just grown up loving everything about it. I could probably talk all day about why I want to go to BYU: majors, friends, art programs, etc.
Never in my life did I really ever want to go anywhere but BYU
until this year where other colleges started interesting me.
USU is my second choice.
Not sure if I desperately want to be an Aggie
but USU has certainly taken an interest in me
and I have a slight interest in some of its programs.
Downside? They have some pretty mean sports fans
and I don't want to be a part of that...
SVU (for those who don't know) is a small LDS college in Virgina.
It is GOR.GE.OUS.
Look at it! It just makes me sigh!
It has some wonderful programs as well.
It has two major downfalls for me at the moment:
Distance:
I'm not sure how far away from home I want to be on the first year of college.
The two other schools are within in the same state SVU is clear across the country!
Arts/Sports:
Going to a small college outside of Utah;
if you are good at something here, you're great at it there.
And if you're great at something here, you're the star there.
I don't really want that...
Anyway, any suggestions anyone?
Help on this topic would be very much appreciated.
